Who we are
Best Heated Blankets is an independent, reader-supported review site founded by Ilane Tall and published by Neto Consulting & Services Ltd. We cover one narrow decision that a surprising number of buying guides get wrong: which electric blanket or heated throw to buy, and which of its specifications you will actually notice in use.
How we work — and what we don’t do
We are honest about our method. We do not physically test these blankets, and we do not run a testing lab. What we do instead: we compare published specifications, we check which safety certification a model actually states (ETL or UL, and whether overheat protection is named), we record fabric weights where the listing gives them, we track live pricing, and we read the critical owner reviews closely, because the complaints are where the real trade-offs live.
You will not find star-rating badges or scores out of ten anywhere on this site. Amazon no longer exposes verified rating data through its product API, and we would rather show you a stated temperature range and an auto-off duration than a number we cannot source. We never invent scores, and we never present a paraphrase as a quotation.
Why we keep talking about size and auto-off
Because those two numbers decide satisfaction more reliably than anything in the marketing. A 50×60″ throw and an 84×90″ queen are different products for different rooms, and a blanket that shuts off after ninety minutes cannot do the job of one you can set for twelve hours — however similar the two look in a listing photo. Heat settings and fabric names come after that, not before.
How we make money
We are affiliate-supported. When you buy through links on this site we may earn a commission, at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Commissions never change which products we recommend — our picks would be identical without them.
Corrections
Prices, specifications and model numbers change constantly. If you spot something outdated or plain wrong, tell us — corrections are genuinely welcome and we act on them.
